A floor that has epoxy resin applied to it is known as epoxy flooring. The first assumption people frequently make is to consider epoxy coatings to be just another type of floor painting. Epoxy is not paint yet comparing it to paint is not fully accurate either. Epoxy is a two-part coating that you mix, as opposed to most floor paintings, which are easy to apply as a single coat.
The difference between paint and epoxy coatings is that epoxy can also be described as having a resin part and a hardener part. Because floor paints typically lack the hardening component, epoxy is thicker, more resistant, and more durable than regular floor paint.
A garage floor in epoxy, or even better in polyurea, will last up to 20 years under the right conditions. If you wish to coat an interior concrete surface with a durable product, it is highly recommended to opt for an epoxy coating. That is why epoxy is the perfect floor finish for lofts and basement floors.
